Does QB 2003 Pro offer integration with UPS Worldship program? I know they have a built in tool for FEDEX, but we use UPS for shipping.
My UPS sales rep tells me about a third party program.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Hi ciscoaum,
Check out V Technologies Shipgear at http://www.vtechnologies.com/
It took me a long time to find their pricing on the site ... go to "shop" on the upper right or follow this link. It looks like a great solution for $150.

I downloaded SHIPGEAR, however I am finding that while importing invoice info, the phone number from QuickBooks is being populated in ZIP code field of UPS Worldship.
How do I ensure the addresses fields are correctly imported!
Thanks,

I am using Premier 2003. I see that Intuit is saying Premier 2005 is already integrated with UPS. I don't understand to what degree. Anyone?

If you like how the UPS Worldship works, then you would be disappointed using QuickBooks 2005's poorly integrated UPS Shipping Manager.
Third party programs such as SHIPGEAR works well with QB & UPS.
Check the following post on this forum for details:

I saw a review of Shipgear that says it is slow. One person said you can do the double entry nearly as fast. There is another company making a UPS/QB integration program, but I can't remember the name.

I was talking to QB sales yesterday and they said that QB Premier 2005 uses UPS's online shipping system. It does not integrate with Worldship. That seems ridiculous.

I joined this forum today in hopes of resolving some issues that you folks seem to be having.
Let me tell you one thing that was a major dissapointment to me. I upgraded to 2005 Pro just for the UPS shipping function only to find out that you cannot print to the UPS thermal label printers, only full size laser printers. What a moron move on their part.
I downloaded a demo of shiprush but haven't tried it yet.
If anyone know a mod for my problem, let me know.

We use shipgear and find to to not be slow. There is an option in the configuration screen for how many days to go back when looking for an order number. 30 days is too long. If you change it to say a week or so, you'll find it's much faster.
We save immense amounts of time since using Shipgear for the last year. Wouldn't live without it.

I used shiprush (by z-firm) for a year. The software is OK, but shipping prices quoted are not too accurate. For international shipping worldship is by far much easier.

I just started using UPS in QB Pro 2003 and yes, you can specify the label printer you want and use your UPS Thermal printer. It recognizes any printer you have set up and you just choose the thermal printer. The new labels are printed sideways but that is the only difference, except there is no end-of-day label to be printed.
I just tried to use QB Ship for a package out of country today and found that cannot be done, so I just went back to Worldship and use that for my international packages.

The most widely used shipping solution is OzLINK.

The system is the most flexible available today. Also a free trial is available so you can try before you buy.
