I am looking for some "real" feedback that I can share with my clients and give me more direction. I am looking for justification to upgrade to QB 2002Pro, from QB2001Pro.
1) I have seen that there is a problem with the bank reconciliation process, does anyone know if that 'bug' has been fixed?
2) One of the big issues I have is that of pricing. I really need to be able to have multiple price structures. Using the functionallity of customer type pricing, and level pricing per item. A min. of 3 pricing tiers per item for each customer type is needed. Otherwise, I will have to have the clerks punch in the price of each item, based on a large chart on the wall. (Now there's high tech efficiency :)
I will be using this to setup a manufacturing accounting system. Inventory, retail sales, credit card processing, and backups will all be important aspects for me to consider. Some are already supported with 2001Pro. I understand that a new product, by Intuit, is to come out soon that is designed for a manufacturing environment, but I can't wait til then.
3) I have seen NumberCruncher software(which is only 2002 compatible) that can be an add-on, but haven't been able to find any feedback from users anywhere in my searchings. Has anyone used it? Feedback on the product?
4) I see that a Point-Of-Sale software is going to released by Intuit soon too. Again, I can't wait. Does anyone have any GOOD add-on software that they have used? My sales/clerks are not computer savvy, so I don't want anything too complicated. An add-on, that is pretty seamless would be best. That, it seems to me, will cut down on the mulitple screens they have to learn and the processes of reconciliation they may have to deal with. They will be working from a cash box type system, not a real register, due to the fact that it will be a fairly low volume of cash transactions.
I know this is a long post. Please, I am interested in your feedback, even if it only deals with one aspect of my decision-making process.
Thanks
