QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program

What experience have bookkeepers and accountants had with this program? Has it added to your client base? Have you participated in the Live Advice Center? The certification? Overall: it is worth the money?

I also am very curious about this. Is there anyone out there who is willing to share their experiences as a Quickbooks Pro-Advisor? I haven't found much other information (good or bad) from anywhere else on the net. Any warnings, tips or advice you could give would be much appreciated.

I have just given Intuit heck about the program. I've been a Pro Advisor for four years now and I'm very frustrated with their lack of caring. When someone searched for an advisor by zip code, they would be referred to you if you had listed any one of a number of zip codes that you could service. Then they rewrote the website about a year and a half ago and now if a person looking for any advisor puts in a zip code, it only finds you if that one zip code happens to be yours. So, if you're in a very small zip code area, no one knows about you in all of the surrounding areas! This has greatly diminished the calls I get from the Pro Advisor's site. If their programmers don't have the expertise to write a search related to the twelve zip codes you can service, then they could at least put something in the search instructions to the effect: "If you want to expand your search to advisors in your surrounding areas, DO NOT DO YOUR SEARCH BY ZIP CODE, USE CITY AND STATE INSTEAD" That's REALLY not too much to ask. I just feel they don't care. Also, when you became a Pro Advisor, you would get a multi-user version. Now for the price you pay, you only get a single user version. In other words, the price keeps going up but the service.... Oh, by the way, they said mine was the first complaint about the zip code problem (although I've complained several times myself since this has happened)
