how do I enter a bank transfer, not a cheque

Hi, I'm UK based, but the principal may be the same....

Every Month, I transfer some money from my company account (in QB) to my personal account (not in QB)

When I try to enter it in the register, it always asks for a cheque number, but there isnt one, cos all I do is telephone the bank, and say "transfer this much to this account".

I used to use Quicken, and with that, I could select the type of transaction - CHQ, Direct Debit, etc....

Just go to Write Checks and create a check. Change the check number to Debit Memo or whatever you want to see.
