Inserting Graphics/Text Messages

Is it possible to overlay a graphic message/picture over a statement? (ie I'd like to be able to add an advertised special to my statements)

If you save it in PDF format, you can get it done.

This is often possible using your printer dirver, depending on the printer. Sometimes they call it a watermark or similar.
