New computer / re-install / updates

I'm going to be moving my QB2000 to a lovely new computer. Should the procedure be to install, download just the latest tax table and latest updates, then restore company file from floppy (diligently praying that restore works)?

My question is whether the download latest update (R8, atx table 20202) encompasses all previous updates? Or do I need to do them one at a time?

Yes, install QB from original CD - you'll need to create a co file, then go on-line download all updates and tax tables, then do your restore-make a couple of backups just in case you get some bad diskettes.
