View Full Version : Payroll question -different rate of tax

I'm using quickbooks 2003 with payroll and I want to set up a lot of seasonal workers with a different tax rate than the one in the tax table. ie. horticultural casual employees have a tax rate of 13%. How do i do this

In setting up employees in tax information I have typed in 13% in tax rate thinking this would do it but it doesn't is there something else I can do or do I go back to manual payroll?


Also how do I set up employees who are paid by bank transfer automatically each fortnight without creating a pay for them each fortnight? Can this be done like in creating a regular payment, I don't think so as this wouldn't go onto their year to date pays would it?

Answered the first part of the question myself.
Choose 8 No Tax Code in the tax details of the employees file and type in 13% then it will do it automatically.

Still looking for how to do automatic pays though
