Using Quickbooks 2009 on my Mac....I am trying to create invoices withOUT inventory. I do not have constant prices for items. Instead, they change daily. For instance, landscaping mulch may be a $50 a yd. today, but $52.50 a yd. tomorrow. I cannot keep creating the same item with everchanging prices. Can I disable that altogether?? I realize it will mess up the accounting, but I just need to create invoices withOUT set pricing. Any tips would be appreciated.

Either edit the sales pice to account for your increased expense or set your default markup, use the expense tab on your bills and asign the expense to your customer. When invoicing the customer use the time/cost option to bring your expenses to the invoice.

If you are not tracking inventory and are not job-cost tracking, you could create a non-inventory item called Mulch with the price set to 0.00. This would allow you to enter a different price each time the item is used on an invoice. Simple but effective.
