2 Versions of QuickBooks

I'm using QB 2011 on my computer. I have a client who is now using 2012, and wants me to keep a backup on my computer. Can I install 2012 on my computer without uninstalling 2011? When we installed 2012 on the client's computer it automatically unistalled 2011.

It UN-installed 2011 because he allowed QB to decide where the program would be installed.

Install QB in you Root Directory of your C Drive in its own directory will allow you to have multiple versions of QB on your computer eg:-
C:\Quickbooks 2011
C:\Quickbooks 2012

If he is only keeping a Backup of his data on your computer you do not have to install his program. Just create a Directory C:\My Friends QB Backup and save his backup file there.
