Are there advantages to using the QuickBooks back-up function rather than another, such as Iomega? Is anyone aware of a known problem with restoring a QuickBooks file with Iomega software?
This is our current procedure, which we do at the end of each day:
1. We copy the QBPro99 company file via. local network to a computer that has an external Jaz drive installed on it (takes about 20 seconds to copy).
2. We back-up the company file and other data onto the Jaz drive, using Iomega's software.
Thus we have the origianal file on Computer "A", a copy of the file on Computer "B", and an Iomega back-up on the Jaz disk.
We do a full back-up the first day of the week, and a partial onto the same disk each day thereafter, rotating three disks weekly so we always have two prior weeks plus the current week.
