Because I'm using QB 2002 I have just used the upgrade CD to convert to QB 2007/08. I have QB 2011/12 ready to put onto my new computer. Just wondering how I transfer my book keeping onto my new computer where I'll use 2011/12??

Do a backup on the old PD to a thumb drive/ memory stick. Install QB 2011/12 in the new computer and restore the backup from the thumb drive/ memory stick.

Also, keep that backup until you know that the file is working properly and has the right data.
Just went through this with someone who deleted the backup after upgrading because they thought it went successfully.

Only delete a backup after you have at least 2 generations!!!!

If you were using hosted QuickBooks, then this problem would not have appeared. As the hosted QuickBooks software and data are on the host’s server and not on your computer, transferring data into a new computer is not needed on your part. QuickBooks hosting service provider’s tech experts updates QuickBooks for you on their server and also shift the data from older version to newer. You can access QuickBooks and data from any computer with an Internet connection.
