View Full Version : Receive Payments shows wrong balance after update

I installed the latest update the other day and now when I try to receive payments it shows a zero balance or some very low amount for all my customers, even though they have much larger outstanding balances. The balances show correctly in the other reports. But if I try to apply a payment it gives me a warning that they don't owe anything and it will be applied as a credit.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would have to say I'm rather disappointed after upgrading from QB2007 to QB2011. QB2007 had no problems, but this new version is extremely slow and and has serious problems like this. I'd go back to QB2007 but it won't work on Snow Leopard.

Yikes!!

First of all, have you downloaded the latest release for that version? If not, do that and restart QuickBooks. See if you get the same problem.

Secondly, do you have a backup from before the upgrade? If so, restore that and see if you get the same problem.

Third option - File>Utilities>Rebuild data.
