health insurance is only deducted on the first paycheque of each month and does not always ends up being biweekly. how would i initially set it up in the deductions and keep it from showing up every pay period?

Need to know the following in order to correctly respond:-
Does the amount deducted get remitted to the insurance company and when?
--- or ---
Does this deduction just compensate the company for part of the Premium which the Company Pay's each month?

We pay a monthly premium to a health insurance company. So the deduction is actually reimbursing the employer for part of the premium paid to the health insurance company

In this case I would suggest you calculate the annual premium for each employee and divided it by the number of pay periods in the year, then deduct this amount from each pay check.
Doing it this way would make it easier for you, as doing it only on the first pay check in a month, would mean you would have to add the deduction on to the first payment and then remove it on the second.
