Hi
I am a new member and new to the forum.
I used QB 2008 pro to create a company file which contains 2 companies. At the time this was created I st them up as "general" being the easier. I have since updated to QB 2010 Accountants premier (UK), as 1 of the companies is non profit is there an easy way to convert it?

Did you try opening the accountants premier in non-profit mode (you go to file>toogle to another edition) and then walk through the set-up wizard. It will ask you the location of your company file during the setup process. You should be able to import the old file into the non-profit edition.
Words of warning. BACK OF YOUR DATA FILE FIRST! Always back it up when making even the smallest of changes:eek:
You may want to look at any taxline mapping that you have in place and make sure that is right.
Good luck to you.

Thank you so much for your reply. I did as you suggested, however, when I try to toggle to another edition, non profit is not listed just QuickBooks Pro or simplestart.
It seems I will have to continue as is.
thank you

There must be a difference between the UK version and the U.S. version as I just went and double checked my 2010 accountants premier version (U.S.) and non-profit is listed along with all the other industry specific premier versions.
I am a new pro advisor and the absolute most frustrating thing to me is the differences in program capabilities just between the various U.S. versions. I wonder if Intuit offers a U.K. version of Premier non-profit?
Sorry I couldn't help. :o
