In my reupholstery business, I have a number of recurring jobs that use their own amounts of labor and materials. I charge my customer sales tax on materials only, but to do so, must show the labor and material charges seperately on the invoice. Is there a prefferred way to show this on the invoice?

Make sure that charging sales tax on the materials only is correct for your state because in most states I've seen, it's not. If it is, then you must show it as two line items on the invoice.
