Is there a way to turn an estimate into a purchase order?

There may be a way, If your estimates are very long and detailed, it may be worth it. You could export the transaction to Excel using a report, and then reimport it as a different type. Search Download.com for "QuickBooks IIF" for tools that may help you do this.

The original question is confusing to me because I thought that the estimate was for your customers for proposed jobs or services and the Purchase Order was issued to Vendors for items you are purchasing. Why would you need to turn an estimate into a purchase order? Just curious............
