View Full Version : Email invoicing issues

When emailing invoices to clients, we are having some interesting issues. For some clients the PDF file is change to a winmail.dat file. Other clients receive no attachment at all. The last issue seems only to be with clients that are using Rogers internet for thier email.

What I find strange is this, I can the exact same client a PDF attachment generated from another program and it works perfectly! But not from Quickbooks. I can open the sent file and resave the QB's PDF file using Adobe Acrobat Professional and resend it to the same email address and it then works perfectly.

My conclusion at the moment is the PDF converter that QB uses is sub-standard.

Has anyone else found a fix around this?

Personally I have never used the pdf converter that comes installed with any of the software I use.
I use pdfcreator - http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/ to generate pdf's for any documents I need to email.

I haven't had any issues with it since using it.
