1. Thought there was no advertising permitted on forum. If correct, why is a bookkeeping company seemingly being given preferential treatment by being advertised in the thread "If you are ready to throw the computer out the window."?

There are three kinds of legitimate advertising on this site. One is paid advertisers who buy banner space (http://quickbooksusers.com/advertising.htm). A second is developers and service providers who post their threads in the Services or 3rd Party Software forums. The third is advertising that the forum itself issues. We currently have an affiliate relationship with Peak Virtual Accounting, and therefore have a link to their site.
