I am using Premier Nonprofit 2009 Edition. Is it possible using this edition to prepare a year end donation receipt summary to send each donor? If so, how? :confused:

QB does not provide this ability. Look at the inexpensive offerings from www.beyondtheledgers.com

You can create a Custom Summary report and modify it and set Display Rows to Customer. Click Filters and set: Account = All, Transaction Type = Selected (check "Sales Receipts" and "Payments"), Detail Level = Summary only. This gives the total amounts for each customer/donar.
Memorize and then filter it and set Name to a customer/Donar. If you save it as a Tab delinited file, you could then cut/paste to a Word doc. for each donar.

That report doesn't always work. A lot of nonprofits enter donations through the Make Deposits window, especially if there are a lot of deposits in one day (Sunday collection envelopes, or a fund raiser event, etc.). Those deposits aren't posted to the customer center nor do they appear in Sales reports. The third party utilities are programmed to include those donations.
In addition, if you have 1000 donors, cutting and pasting each document is tedious, and you also have to remember to put the IRS disclaimer at the bottom of each letter.
