I'm shopping around to redo my company's network. So I've been shopping around for computers, but was interested in other people's opinions in system requirements. I know intuit posts some, but I was wondering what people were actually using and their experiences.

There would be about 8-9 users connected to this QBfile at a time.

I have no clue what what works well, Am i on the right track? way off?

You may possibly run into the issue with RAID. QB 2008 was not developed for that environment. I've seen some people having no issues whatsoever, and some not being able to run QuickBooks at all while having their data fiel storred on RAID.

I run a RAID system and have never had an issue. I have from 99 forward installed.

You may never experience any issues with QuickBooks on RAID, or it may not work whatsoever. I have seen it both ways in multiple cases.
