U.K. and U.S. version of QuickBooks!

We have been using QuickBooks Pro, U.K. Version till now. Recently we bought QuickBooks Enterprise Solution 2.0, U.S. version. We are unable to open our previous company data. The message says "The data was not created with U.S. version". How can we open the file now? Please help.

Basically, I don't think you can. from reading previous posts. The UK and US versions are different. There is no VAT in the US and the UK version has a discount option not available in the UK version, etc.

Somebody else might have different advice?

The only possible way to conver the dta file is to contact Intuit Data Services department and send the data file to them. I had the very same problem with Canadian/US convertion.
