I regularly have the need to copy an entire item to a new item and make minor changes. It is frustrating and time consuming to have to enter all the info in each item from scratch.

While that is a good useful suggestion there is a way to do this if you have more than one to do at a time. Start with "add a new item", do the deal and rather than close it out, punch the "next" button. A lot of the dreary stuff gets copied over to the new one while saving the one you just did.

Another thought -
If you need to make large changes to your items, you could export your list to excel and make additions/changes there. Then, import it back.
You can, then, use that excel file to add/edit items later.
Just beware - if you change the item name, you will have a duplicate item upon importing.
And - ALWAYS, ALWAYS make a backup before importing. There is no 'undo import' option.

We too wish we could copy items more seamlessly!
