View Full Version : Sync to Outlook broken since update 4

Ever since I updated to release 4 of QB2001 pro, I have not been able to sync to Outlook. After I start the sync, and quickbooks starts churning the info, I get the message

"Show_User_OKTP_Dialog: TIFSDK custom dialog failed with unexpected error = '80040154', Sync will be cancelled."

and the sync is terminated. Has anyone else seen this? Am I the only one with this problem?

I just updated to release 5, and the problem remains.

I have the same exact message. I'm trying to import my ACT 4.02 data into QB Pro 2001.

One question though. How do you tell which flavor of QB Pro 2001 you have? I don't see anything on the "About" screen.

Has anyone heard any further details from Intuit as to when they expect this update 4 bug to be fixed?

surprised....with all the user & expert in this forum, nobody figure out how to Sync it.

Disappointed....Intuit did not respond with some kind of answere.

My two cents worth.

I found the fix at the QuickBooks site. Go to the directory QB is installed in, normally Intuit/QuickBooks. There is a batch file there called "reboot.bat". Run it. It took a couple of minutes to complete here, but ACT successfully synced after.
