I'm having trouble restoring data. I backed up my data to a floppy and got message ( Back-up was successful) but when I tried to restore it to my new computer I get a message saying that my restore didn't work. I tried other discs with the same results, I also tried to restore it to the same computer with the same results.
Any Ideas on what could be wrong?

The data is damaged and there is no way to fix bad data in a backup. If you still have a working copy of the data run a verify and rebuild on it.
After the rebuild back up again. IF BAKCING UP TO A FLOPPY MAKE SURE TO FORMAT THE FLOPPY FIRST. It does not matter that the floppy is preformatted. FORMAT the floppies first.
then back up and try to restore again.
Or, it was just a bad floppy disk.
I have had that happen.

Thanks for the info, I ran a verify and found the errors and repaired them, however I now get a error message saying that my working data is corrupt and it won't let me open the data file.
