If there are any other Connecticut-based bookkeepers on this discussison list who may be interested in participating in a monthly bookkeeper's network luncheon, please drop me an e-mail at ctbookkeeper@yahoo.com
After speaking with another freelance bookkeeper I realized that there aren't many local associations, magazine subscriptions, etc. specifically targeted for bookkeepers only (I know there's Journal of Accountacy, but that's target to accountants/CPAs). I'd like to organize a once a month lunch (the area will vary) where us bookkeepers can get together to network, brainstorm, talk about what wer'e currently working on, share problems, success stories (yes, and horror stories!) and, most imporantly, marketing ideas to help our businesses grow.
