I am getting ready to print my 1099's for the 2006 year.
It is my understanding that all the payments I have made to my attorney should go into box 7. Is this correct? (it is not for services rendered due to buying/selling of land just for various evictions cases throughout the year)
If so, when I go to print them out it is going into box 14. How do I change it from printing in box 14 to box 7?

Thanks
Kay

You need to go to Edit>Preferences>Tax:1099. Click on that and choose the Company tab. There is a list of the various boxes on the 1099 form. Choose Box 14. Click on the center column for account that will tie into that box. If you click on the Account column there will be a drop-down list of your accounts. Choose the account you used for the attorney fees. Click OK. The attorney fees have to be in the same account as the one chosen to report on 1099's.
