i am currently using qbpro 2002.
my bank check register can be downloaded in a couple of different formats, including quicken financial exchange (QFX), comma separated values, and quicken 99 and later (QIF).
i've tried downloading qfx, and naming the file the same as my bank information in qb, and then using utilities to import it. i get a screen which says the data was imported, but i can't find it.
where is it, and how do i access it?
thanks in advance.

Unfortunately you will get these 'successful' notices when nothing really came in, and that's a pain. Just downloading and remaning the extension will not work.

You may want to get the QIF to IIF converter from www.bigredconsulting.com .... I use it for all my clients that have QIF as an option and it works great.

ok, so if get quickbooks pro 2007, would i then be able to directly import a QFX file downloaded from my bank, or would i still need a QFX to IIF translator? i would think that in 2007, programs would be able to exchange/convert data. or is this just about someone getting their palm greased?

QuickBooks does not use the Quicken exchange files. QXF and QIF are Quicken exchange files.
Can your bank handle QuickBooks exchange or does their Web-site have "Download to QuickBooks" capability. If it ONLY handles the Quicken formats then you will always need some "transaltor".
