I have seen that there is a new product, Quicken Home and Business. I have been elected Treasurer of a Not-For-Profit service orginization. (a community sailing program) I need accounts receivable, balance sheet and cash flow report. We use a payroll service for our 2 to 3 employees, have no inventory and a small number of physical assets. The previous Treasurer used Quickbooks 2000. I am a long time Quicken user and I am wondering if Quicken H&B would be easier for me. What are the advantages of using Quickbooks? Has anyone done this comparison?

It may be too late for you, but I do not recommend Quicken Home & Business. The business part does not give you a normal set of books.
You should research not-for-profit accounting software. QuickBooks has a nfp product. I believe there are some websites comparing these products. I'm sorry that I am not familiar with them. I provide accounting services to for-profit companies, but I do know that nfp's have a different set of rules and reporting requirements. Good luck.
