No way to portion freight

Can I take it from other posts that there is no way that Quickbooks will portion frieght to COGS

eg. I import wine, my first shipment was 180 cases, the intenational shipping was $2000, this whole $2000 shows up in COGS even though I have only sold 70 of the 180 cases.

See my reply to your other thread. I've written an Access application to help with my purchase costing (for a very different product). But I know someone was going to try setting freight up as an inventory item at $1 per unit, so you could create assemblies to represent each saleable item - that was the gist of it.
