Upgrade Problem

I have just upgraded my version 6 through v7 & v 9 to 2005/06. All went well until we tried to open QB 2005/6 we received the following message.

abw32.exe - Entry Point not found
The procedure entry point InterlockedIncremunt could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.

Plus we could not open the programme at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please disregrade this question. We fixed it. By reinstalling the upgrade in another directory - it worked.
Thanks for any help. Reading other peoples questions and feedback helped with the solution.
