We want to transfer our quickbooks pro files and company information from a PC to our new i-mac's. Has anyone done this before, and how.
Quickbooks no longer supports the MAC versions of their program. They stopped a couple of year ago. If you do have an older version, you won't be able to use the payroll features or get any program updates and I'm not sure that the data will transfer from the Windows version either. Sorry.

You will need to update the pro 04 for windows to pro 09 for windows then you should be able to transfer that to MAC-09.
You should look up a Pro Advasior in your area to see if they would to the update so you can convert to Mac.

Keep your files in Windows format and access them on your Mac using Parallels or Vmware Fusion. This is what I do.

I am new to mac. Like quicken but didn't realize I could use it by installing Fusion. Do I install Fusion and then load Quickbooks Pro 2009 on my Mac? Sounds to good to be true. Appreciate helpful information.
