here is what Idownloaded some time back from a US site.
The QuickBooks and QuickBooks Pro .qbw (the main Quickbooks data file) and .qbb (Quickbooks back up file) are commonly used files for small to mid sized businesses and home offices. If lost or damaged, these files can cause loss of time and income, especially around tax time. Data Recovery Aid can repair them and recover your valuable information should they become corrupted or damaged from any of the following errors:
C=43 (unable to read transaction)
C=44 (unable to write transaction)
C=47 (unable to find transaction)
C=53 (entry in a list should be deleted, was not deleted)
C=55-64 (The network temporarily went down)
C=79 (errors in inventory data)
C=88 (problem reading the data trees in the file)
C=102 (list problems)
C=121 (invalid account type)
C=225 (error reading transaction)
C=291 (problem or damage with templates)
C=315 (Assertion failed miscellaneous error)
C=339 (Memory is too full to send any other message)
C=342 (damaged data tree)
I would suggest that you look at the QBWin.log file that is in the QuickBooks Folder to see if it is possible to locate the transaction. Open it in Notepad. Note what it is, delete it and re-enter it. Otherwise it is probably an expensive trip with the data file to Reckon.
Only other thing is to start a new file with all the issues that creates.

Yes im getting the folowing error:

C=43 (unable to read transaction)

I have looked in the QBWin.log file and it displays the following:

Error: Verify Template List Item 19: read error.
RN: 13075 CC: 2
V13.0U R3 (M=1477, L=6877, C=43, V=2 (2))

The problem is I don't know where the unreadable transaction is else I would just delete and redo it.

Does anybody know from the above error message where I many locate the unreadable file?

Thanks in advance.
