Has anyone compared QuickBooks to Sage Line 50. One probably for UK users.

I would imagine that Sage is more robust but slightly less user friendly.

hi rduffy,

as a longtime sufferer ooops! user of Intuit Products and my spouse uses Sage line 50 at her works (she's the accountant) i think QBPro is very fast at entering and mistake corrections. it also has the major advantage for me, of being able to handle multiple sub-clients per main customer.

i.e. i install and repair security equipment and have several clients who are property service agents. each individual property has its own 'residents association' as well as individuals who have to pay direct, and the managing agent has several offices. so billing gets complex.

they have to be billed as 'dimwits charitable trust C/o lets rip em off property services @ the branch which deals with that building, or Mr & Mrs I Brokeit flat 5 who pay direct to me.

i then get one cheque to cover all the calls from different sites = allocation nightmares in Sage and M.Y.O.B. but not with QBPro as it pops up all outstanding invoices for the main client.

having said that if you get a problem in Qickbooks Pro unless you stump up for a support package - even if the fault is a bug the help desk will not help you.
