Starting very small relatively simple business in San Francisco. Need Quickbooks tutor for a few days to help with familiarization of program. There are some details that I am not sure about and a few hours of one on one would clear them up. I am a kenetic learner.
The support line knows less than I do about the program and I cannot find my specific needs in the manual. Can someone reccomend a service or suggest other bright idea? I could turn to a temp agency but would prefer to see the entire sum going out to the person actually earning the pay.
Part of the issue is, no doubt my lack of understanding about accounting terms and their specific use.
I shall diligently comb the threads to learn what I can.
Thanks

If you can't find someone local, you can work with someone using Remote Access; just be sure you find a QB's Certified ProAdvisor and someone that doesn't 'dabble' in QB's.
I do know of a few people in the area, I can forward their information on to you off-list if you would like (qbsrox@aol.com).
Good Luck,
Rox :-)

I have been doing a lot of one on one training with small business owners over the last few years. And, I am working on boiling that experience down into a few over the web instructor led classes.
I have used QB as an accounting controller of a sub contractor in the construction industry and as a bookkeeper for various industries.
I can give you a Free hour of training on a new web classroom product I am doing some testing with. If you are interested let me know and I will put you on the schedule.
My email is lawrence@lightpathsolutions.com
I am on eastern standard time but I'm some what of a night owl.
