Is there a way to enter scrap parts that were produced into the build schedule? For example if production made 10 parts, and two were rejects, is there a way to enter 8 good parts and 2 bad ones into the build and have the materials for all 10 relieved from inventory?

Just started working with QBooks but have experience with SAP. If your finished good to be scrapped can be physically disassembled so that the seperate items can go back into inventory then I believe QBooks can do that, or so I read in their help section.
However, if the finished good is to be scrapped in its entirety then build the 10 items. Go to the "Adjust Inventory" screen, change the total by a -2, and use the scrapped/damaged account to expense the items to COGS.
Basically it's what we had to do with SAP, though SAP allowed this to work by backflushing the items to scrap instead of adjusting inventory manually. If in Qbooks there is a way to do this without going to the "Adjust Inventory" screen, I'd like to know as well.
