Hello!
I am using QB Pro 2004 and only have two people on payroll and originally chose to do it myself taking advantage of the one-time free payroll download that contained the withholding tables.
I will now be hiring a clerk who will use this computer I have been using QB on, and the program has now been installed on our new network server, where I will access it from my new computer. When I try to run payroll off the server, no deductions have been taken from the gross amounts for the two employees. I realize this is because the payroll update is not on the new machine.
I just now called QuickBooks Customer "Service", and they told me I only got one free download. So, if my computer crashes, I'm out of luck? That doesn't sound fair! I'm sure those withholding tables are in a file or files, and if I just knew the name/s of the file/s, I could just copy it/them over to the server.
Anyone else have this problem or know what those files are named?
Thanks for any help anyone might have!
chris
